Sasol's Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) Fischer-Tropsch hard waxes, including SASOBIT, offer a multitude of benefits. They enhance workability and process reliability, enable early traffic release, and contribute to increased stability and extended service life in various formulations.

 

What Makes Our Offerings Unique?

Our unique asphalt additives enable paving at lower temperatures with reduced emissions, improved compaction and extended lifetime. They also increase the durability of bituminous roofing and waterproofing uses. Our rejuvenators lead to more sustainable roads, as higher amounts of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) and/or Reclaimed Asphalt Shingles (RAS) to asphalt mixes can be added without compromising the performance of the road.

WARM MIX ASPHALT ADDITIVES

While SASOBIT and SASOBIT LC are Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) Fischer Tropsch hard waxes (FTHW), SASOBIT REDUX is a blend of FTHW and petroleum based component. All are designed to mix and pave asphalt at lower - warm instead of hot - temperatures.

REJUVENATORS (RECYCLING AGENTS)

SASOBIT RC 100 BIO, SASOBIT RE 80 and SASOBIT RE 100 are high purity linear primary alcohols with even-numbered chain lengths. All are designed to increase the amount of recycled asphalt in a new asphalt mix without compromising the final performance
