In South Africa, Sasol Chemicals produces and markets a wide variety of commodity and specialty chemicals linked to our unique Fisher-Tropsch (FT) technology. We are the largest chemical producer in South Africa, with main manufacturing facilities in Secunda and Sasolburg. The manufacturing facilities are operated by Sasol Energy Operations on behalf of Chemicals Africa. Our African headquarters is in Johannesburg, South Africa.

We produce approximately 4 million tons of product annually in our South African facilities, including:

• Advanced Materials – catalysts and carbon
• Base Chemicals – monomers, polymers, nitrates, phenolics, ammonia
• Essential Care Chemicals – C6+ alcohols
• Performance solutions – solvents, wax, comonomers
