Our Products
C2 ALCOHOLS
Sasol manufactures a variety of high-quality synthetic ethanol products derived from the Fischer-Tropsch process. Sasol's unique manufacturing technology produces ethanol with exceptionally low levels of benzene and methanol. Sasol offers both pure and denatured ethanol grades.
C3 ALCOHOLS
Sasol produces high-quality C3 ALCOHOLS of both Isomers, offered as grades of varying purity. These alcohols are used extensively in the inks, paints & coatings, home & personal care, pharmaceutical, and agricultural industries.
C4 ALCOHOLS
Sasol is a fully integrated producer of C4 oxo-alcohols such as normal- and iso-butanol. Sasol also produces some industrial grade C4 ALCOHOLS that are obtained from our Fischer Tropsch and Ziegler processes.
C5+ ALCOHOLS
Sasol offers a variety of alcohol blends, predominately with carbon numbers C5 - C6 (mixed isomers). These products can be used in a variety of industrial processes.
ACETATE ESTERS
Sasol's ACETATE ESTERS are used in the formulation of adhesives, coatings, printing inks, and cosmetics.
KETONES
Sasol offers a variety of high-quality KETONES including acetone, MIBK and MEK. These versatile solvents have diverse applications across a wide spectrum of market sectors. Sasol KETONES have exceptionally low levels of aromatics due to Sasol's unique manufacturing process.
GLYCOL ETHERS
Sasol's GLYCOL ETHERS have remarkable solvent characteristics due to the presence of both ether and alcohol functional groups. These solvents are often used in the formulation of inks, brake fluids, mining & oil field chemicals, paints & coatings and leather & textile treatments.
SOLVENT BLENDS
Sasol produces tailor-made thinner- and alcohol-based SOLVENT BLENDS, formulated to meet the specific requirements for various coating applications.
N-PARAFFINS
Sasol produces a range of synthetic N-PARAFFINS using its proprietary Fischer-Tropsch technology. Uses include aerosol spray carriers, metalworking, mineral processing and low-odour lighting fuels. Absence of impurities like aromatics and heteroatoms makes these products suitable for use as high purity catalyst carriers and process solvents for sensitive applications.
ISO-PARAFFINS
Sasol offers a range of hydrotreated ISO-PARAFFINS and naphtene mixtures with excellent solvency characteristics. Narrow boiling-point cuts with different flash points are available where high performance is required.
WHITE SPIRITS
Sasol produces WHITE SPIRITS blends with customized boiling ranges containing mixtures of paraffins and aromatics. These are typically used in the production of paints, inks and varnishes or for industrial cleaning.
CRESYLIC ACID BLENDS
Sasol's CRESYLIC ACID BLENDS, suitable for wire coatings, circuit boards, and cleaners, encompass versatile products like MP6P to MP50P.
2,4/2,5-XYLENOLS
Sasol's 2,4/2,5-XYLENOLS (97+%) are widely used in producing antioxidants, wire enamel solvents, phosphate esters, and various blended products.
