GREEN COKE
A delayed coking process is used to convert two Sasol feeds into green (uncalcined) cokes. Medium temperature pitch, which is unique to Sasol’s medium temperature Lurgi gasification and a waxy oil stream from the Higher Temperature Fischer-Tropsch process are coked both separately and in a specific blend ratio to produce cokes with differing properties. Each coke product has a distinct structure and chemical specification which are suited to the final application of the product.
