Temperature reduction asphalt (Warm Mix)

In addition to the building sector and the heat transition, CO2 and energy savings also play a major role in road construction. The new specifications for asphalt paving, which will come into force in January 2026 and allow for a transition period until December 2026, focus in particular on reducing aerosols from the current level of 10 mg/m³ to 1.5 mg/m³ and are therefore binding for tenders and execution. As a result, only temperature-reduced asphalt may be used from January 2027 at the latest.
