NACOL 18 98 Stearyl Alcohol rapeseed based

Lower Carbon Footprint and EUDR compliant

Looking for a natural feedstock, a deforestation-free alternative, with a lower Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) compared to Palm (kernel) oil-based products and outside the scope of EUDR? Sasol offers NACOL 18 98 (INCI: Stearyl Alcohol) based exclusively on segregated rapeseed oil. Produced, stored and stocked in the Sasol’s Brunsbüttel plant in Germany, this Stearyl Alcohol will solve the increasing complexity associated with the use of palm derivatives.

The expansion of palm oil plantations in recent years has resulted in significant increases in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and loss of biodiversity from carbon-rich tropical forests. EUDR and the need for full traceability to palm plantations is a significant challenge due to the complexity of the supply chain. This has led to a greater emphasis on substituting palm oil derivatives. As the producer of the broadest range of alcohols from a single manufacturer, Sasol is the preferred partner of choice for these new challenges.
