ISOFOL

ISOFOLS are Sasol’s saturated branched alcohols with defined carbon chains (also known as Guerbet alcohols), and can be chemically described as 2-alkyl-1-alkanols. ISOFOL emollients provide excellent and versatile emolliency and conditioning properties for skin-, sun- and hair care products.

ISOFOL alcohols can be manufactured from natural and synthetic sources.
Features:
Light, non-greasy, and dry emollient; high purity; oxidative stability; temperature/thermal stability; high polarity; suitable for a wide pH range; colour- and odourless; compatible with silicones, lipophilic cosmetic ingredients and UV filters; stable in moderate acidic to moderate alkaline medium; low pour point; solvency and excellent pigment wetting properties
